  Sarah Ayoub - Freelance Writer, Media Commentator & Speaker, University of Sydney Research Student, aspiring novelist, part-time fashionista, full-time drama queen, over-excited optimist occasionally prone to shallowness and irrationality, and all-round nice gal. I'm shy but flamboyant, a brain but a bimbo, conservative but open-minded, and a walking contradiction that makes perfect sense.   Books, magazines, pretty things, notebooks, tea pots, slip/slop/slapped days in the sun, by-gone eras, cocktails, cheese, 1959 cadillacs, cake, Paris, Topshop, the royals, history, old Australia, 50's dresses, 20's style, 40's make-up, Jesus, clutch purses, fantabulous shoes, England, my engagement ring, surprises, cake stands, cows and koalas, cadbury chocolate, The City, Planet Eart body moisturisers, Marc Jacobs & Chanel, my family & friends, good food, inspirational things, bright colour, festivities, Christmas Carols, photos, furniture...and life.

• I write…

  because as a child I wanted to be Lois Lane and Clark Kent’s love child (inheritor of enviable journalistic skills and the ability to fly) and because my plan to be a psychiatrist was shelved after a viewing of The Sixth Sense. My work has appeared in a number of print and online publications, including ABC Unleashed, The Sunday Telegraph's Sunday Magazine, Shop Til you Drop, CLEO, Cosmopolitan, Notebook:, Yen, Frankie, Girlfriend, Trespass, Eureka St and more. If all goes to plan and I conquer writer's block and continuos edits and drafts, you'll eventually see me at a bookstore near you, hopefully signing the books I conquered in addition to all of the above missions.
